30 for 30: The Social Network (2010)

Tough year. Was stuck at a dead-end job I didn’t enjoy being at, save for the awesome co-workers. The second half of the year saw a major heartbreak, some financial ache, and the abrupt death of my first car. Never felt so dependent. Even the trip to India in December – my first visit in over seven years – was prefaced by a 60 hour delay in Newark, thanks to a blizzard. At least I had my family with me at all times. In the end, that’s what mattered to me… my family and my health.

Circling back to The Social Network… I first watched this wonderful movie on the week of my birthday – during the crux of my Debbie-downer days. It made forget all of my troubles – even if it was only for two hours. It was and still remains the finest movie of this new decade.

About 30-for-30

Movies are a huge part of my life – I mean, why else would I be running a blog/site devoted to movies? To commemorate the occasion of my 30th birthday (later this month), I’ll be counting down to the big day by posting a photo of my favorite movie for each year of the last 30 years I’ve survived on this planet. These aren’t my favorite 30 movies EVER but merely the movie I consider my favorite (or the best) of each year. This is my 30 for 30. Click here to see the other 30 for 30 posts.
